TANGO FADO DUO: DANIEL BINELLI & PEDRO DA SILVA
Exploring the relationship between the sensuality of Argentine tango and the passion of Portuguese fado, melancholic music accompanied by Portuguese guitar, bandoneonist Daniel Binelli and Portuguese guitarist Pedro da Silva interweave the traditional sounds of their instruments at the heart of both styles. The concert will include new interpretations of classics from each genre as well as original compositions."

TANGO, INHERITANCE AND MODERNISM
The history of tango is demonstrated in this intimate “informance”, from its origins to contemporary times, through its dance, music and lyrics, three intertwined elements that make up tango. Andrea Eletti (Argentine singer and producer of many tango dance and music events and recordings) and Gabriel de Pedro (Argentine composer, pianist, and professor) will demonstrate tango’s poetry, soul, and rhythm.

Legendary bandoneón master Daniel Binelli of Argentina, bandoneón player for the last ensemble of composer Astor Piazzolla, and his longtime partner, acclaimed Uruguayan-born pianist Polly Ferman, are joined by Grammy and Latin Grammy winning violinist Nick Danielson for a soulful program of traditional and original compositions from Argentina, including works from the new Binelli-Danielson album "Nostalgias"..

Tango 2X4 brings together two master musicians and four extraordinary dancers for a memorable pre-Thanksgiving evening that upends tango stereotypes and explores the true nature of tango music & dance. Internationally acclaimed tango pianist Polly Ferman and bandoneonist Daniel Binelli with NY top tango dancers Mariana Parma, Karina Romero, Leonardo Sardella & Walter Perez will make this Thanksgiving celebration unforgettable.
